The best thing you can do to maintain your commercial refrigeration unit is to regularly check on it to be sure it’s working correctly. Monitoring the temperatures is something that should be an easy task each day as variances will indicate something isn’t working properly.

Cleaning evaporator fan coils and blades on a regular basis is also essential. Inspect all seals and all hinges as any leaks can compromise the temperatures which ultimately effects your inventory.

This may be a no-brainer, but keep the cooler or freezer clean! Avoid the temptation to use harsh chemicals which can adversely affect metal surfaces; instead just use hot soap and water.

It doesn’t have to be a big job is you clean and inspect on a regular basis and you’ll get more out of the life of your commercial unit.
